At Coram Deo, we recognize that young children have an extraordinary ability to memorize and retain information. In the Lower School, we cultivate this natural strength through joyful and creative methods such as songs, chants, jingles, recitations, and movement. These practices not only make learning enjoyable, but also instill discipline and perseverance, giving students a strong framework for future academic growth and development.
Equally important is the formation of character. Our students practice virtuous habits each day which include cheerful greetings, respectful interaction with teachers and peers, and practice proper etiquette in the classroom. These small but intentional habits shape both heart and mind, preparing children to carry themselves with grace and confidence as they grow into maturity.
Life at Coram Deo extends beyond academics. Lower School students delight in enrichment experiences such as field trips, bake sales, family game nights, running club, and other community events. These opportunities strengthen relationships, broaden learning, and reflect our commitment to instill in children a love for the good, the true, and the beautiful.
