Running Club
Since physical discipline has a distinct ability to reinforce spiritual discipline, the running club at Coram Deo exists to help students train their bodies for the greater benefit of training their minds and souls (I Timothy 4:8). Our running club meets each week to run, encouraging and building up one another in strength, virtue, and teamwork. As a result of this training, our participation in local races becomes a living metaphor for the Christian journey as we “run the race set before us” not for medals alone, but for the joy of the Lord and the glory of His kingdom. In every mile, we learn to press on with purpose, embodying the harmony of physical vigor and spiritual devotion.
Chess Club
The chess club at Coram Deo offers students a quiet yet invigorating space to engage with “the Game of Kings.” During down times throughout the day, students gather around boards to test their skills, sharpen their focus, and enjoy friendly competition. More than a pastime, chess becomes a training ground for patience, foresight, and virtuous decision-making. In each match, students learn to think deeply, act deliberately, and appreciate the beauty of ordered thought, all within a community that values both play and purpose.
